Huge thanks to everyone who let me know that something weird has been happening to a couple of the pages while I was away, notably this very news page (you're reading the new revamped version right now) and the Bunny Slippers List. I've no idea what happened here but basically the News 'fell off' altogether & 75% of the Bunny Slippers list got eaten by ghosts in the machine. I'm currently reworking the Bunny Slippers list but only have the roll of names up to number 153 on my PC. I may scrub the number system altogether but anyone who joined after #153 who wants to be reinstated please let me know. (And if by any miracle someone has the list beyond #153 please give me a shout, you'll be a hero!).
Ahh, well I was almost outta here but some things are worth hanging fire from and since Jack just mailed me and brought this to my attention I thought I'd better make a note before jumping ship. It appears that Cartoon Network are advertising a couple of Ed -featured games for the PC made by PowerPlay. I'm not sure myself if they're brand new or possibly based on extended versions of games previously hosted on CN itself but you can check them out here and make your own judgements.Bowl-Ed Over (S19.95) : Bowling goes 3-D! Customize your own ball, then let the good times roll as the Eds cheer you on. Pump up the pin action on two Ed-built alleys: the Bowl-de-Sac and Kanker Lane. You can practice on your own, or challenge up to three other players! To the Eds-Treme ($ 9.95) : Shred with the Eds on crazy skateboard ramps! Grab pumped-up power-ups to catch sick air - we're talkin' all the way to outer space - then flip out with tricks like the Stinky Goofy Foot and the Backside Boomerang. Land on your feet and you'll be crowned King of the Cul-de-Sac!NOTE: I have no idea what these games are like either quality or playablity wise, there are FREE demos available for both though and so I suggest that anyone who's interested would be wise to check these out first before parting with their cash. If anyone has played the full version of either game & wants to do a review then please drop me a line. -------
While I'm on the subject of Eds merchandise (which I might note is still woefully lacking in the variety and availability department, here for all you people who mail me asking about EEnE goodies is the link to CN's online store. Sadly however, it seems they are still reticent to ship anywhere outside of the US / Canada.Don't forget if you are wanting more merchandise be it DVDs to sockhats to partyware then you can do your bit by sending CN a polite request, legend has it that sometimes merchandising miracles do happen, after all they've kicked off with the cute plushy Plank so at least that's a start. Here's hoping that with the special episodes greenlit CN might be a bit more adventurous & forthcoming with the Eds merchandise and goodies from now on. -------

Just a note to anyone who might have sent me an email this week - with the current 'mydoom' worm running rampant through so many systems worldwide I've been getting literally hundreds of emails every day and have taken to simply deleting everything for now so please mail me again in a few days. Similarly I have NOT mailed anyone so if you receive an email from either the current or old Eddzone address with what appears to be an attachment do not open it - as a matter of fact you shouldn't open any e-mail attachment unless you're positive you know what it is and trust who it came from. Better safe than sorry guys. In lieu of this and any future viral nasties, if you are sending me an email please remember to fill in the subject line. Anything remotely suspicious will be deleted without reading or even opening including mails with subject headers such as 'hi', 'question', 'my idea', 'my file', 'hello' etc ... please if you want to reach me then fill in the subject line properly :) -------
Cartoon Network has moved the Eds premieres back to Fridays again and so now the USA too can rejoice as all of the remainder of the season 4 shows - except the 'Take this Ed & Shove It' finale are now in circulation. Check your schedule for more details and re-shows. Congratulations from me and I'm sure to everyone else at the Eddzone go out to our own long-term contributor Rach who after causing unbridled havoc under Mike Kubat's wing at Duck You Sucker has now successfully landed herself a job at aka cartoon starting as of now and will hopefully be contributing to the Eds specials out at the end of this year! You've probably seen Rach's artwork in the galleries and may have read her fanfics too and I have to say this is wonderful news and couldn't happen to a nicer gal. Big hugs and chugs to you Rach, you're a great inspiration to anyone who's thinking of taking up animation as a career, you went for it, you got it and I hope that wherever it takes you next you enjoy every minute ^_^ -------

Ready? Okay, are you mourning the end of the Eds with the finale of season four? Well hold onto your sock hat and mourn no more for I'm delighted to announce on the Eddzone that Cartoon Network has given the green light to ... wait for it ... THREE BRAND NEW HALF HOUR ED, EDD n EDDY SPECIALS! The first of these specials will be set to premier Christmas 2004 So far details are sketchy but possible themes put forward revolve around the Eds at Christmas, St Valentines Day and Halloween. I've come across some Eds-themed juice boxes made by 'Calpyso' in Tesco here in the UK, they come in packs of 3, the other 2 featured toons being Dexter and Johnny Bravo so if you're into collecting everything Eds make sure you grab a packet or two. -------

I've no idea how long this promo has been running, I only noticed it in Safeway yesterday. Anyway, Kelloggs kids cereals (Coco Pops, Frosties etc) are running another Cartoon Cartoon promo involving various 'wobbly head' characters. Only Eddy is available from the show and it might be worth noting that you'll need to have a good slice of luck on your side because again the toys are inserted randomly, so your chances of getting Eddy with 6 or so characters and several types of cereal involved are slim to say the least (you can do the math if you like). I had a lovely surprise today - a mail from Janyse Jaud the actress who provides the distinctive tones of both Lee Kanker and Ed's little sister Sarah. I'm happy to say that Janyse has agreed to do a questionnaire/interview for the site and we decided it would be great to get some fans input added to the mix So, if you have a question to put to Janyse, be it about what she thinks of Sarah, tips for acting career and so on then why not drop me an EMAIL putting 'Questions for Janyse' in the subject line.Obviously I can't include every single question but we'll do what we can. There's no deadline for this as we can work on the add-on principal but obviously the sooner you ask the sooner Janyse can answer. -------
Did you catch them? Big thank you's to everyone who informed me about this, it seems CN decided to sneak out one (2 eps) of the remaining S4 shows before the main bulk later in the year. I say 'sneak' because the show aired in alate timeslot and wasn't overtly advertised, however now its out and about check your schedules for reruns. In brief the plots involved the kidnapping of Ed and a very immoveable quarter! -------
Whoo, check it out and many thanks to the people who alerted me to this one. Subway the fast food sandwich shop is currently running an Ed, Edd n Eddy promotional deal with their kids meal options. There are five toys to collect namely: Skateboarding Ed / Go Kart Edd / Cruisin' Edd / Jumping Eddy / Spinning SarahI'm not sure how long this promo has already been active for so if you want to snap up an Edboy then make tracks to Subway pronto before they're all sold out! -------
Please note that the Eddzone will not be accepting any new fanfiction (and related fan-character & authors bios), artwork, poetry or Ed pages until further notice.News and any other things such as new eps, links, Bunny Slippers Brigade, Jawbreakers, aka news etc will be covered of course plus I shall endeavour to keep up with the Gravy Enquirer and of course post at E2E. This decision was not taken lightly but is something of a necessity at the moment. The Eddzone has grown much bigger than I ever imagined it would and is no longer hosted on free webspace so the larger it gets the more expensive. As I'm sure you can appreciate, it also takes up an enormous chunk of my precious spare time to keep all the fans sections updated and with amongst other things, my children moving up to new schools and various other commitments and projects - both work & leisure, that I want to work on, I feel I would rather concentrate on the core matters of the Eddzone for the foreseeable future. So once more to re-iterate: please DO NOT submit any of the above-listed work to the Eddzone, I don't have the space to keep it on hold and I can't guarantee it will still be there when - and IF - I decide to open these sections again. The only exception to this is if you have a multi-chaptered fanfiction already in progress, in which case drop me a line and I'll see what I can do. ---
As of 'now' the Eddzone contact address for questions, queries, comments etc has changed. Please don't flood the mailbox with one-liner mails that quite simply don't say anything, I only set the box up a day or so ago and already there is a person who has sent me at least 6 mails of approx 8 words apiece telling me how crazy and funny they are. This may seem amusing to them but its just tedious for me and it means the time I had put aside to update the site is quickly eaten up by instead on purging all their junk mails. I know this sounds miserable of me but that's the bottom line for now. Following on from this, if you do send me heaps of frivolous mail then be warned that this can backfire on you, basically I'll blacklist your name as a 'nuisance' and delete all your mails without even opening them. Should you then decide to submit work to the site it's going to be a case of 'tough luck' because they'll be sent straight to file 13 unread. Finally, please don't send forwards, quizzes, jokes, questionnaires & other passarounds, they take up space and don't get read. ---
Yes I have deleted a whole chunk of entries, the reason why is simple - there appears to be a couple of people abusing the map by using it as a message board, one word on this - don't. The guest map is there so that fans of the show around the world can drop by and tell other fans where they live, its not there for 'where are you?' or 'didn't see you yesterday' or other chat. If you want to leave messages or chat then please consider joining the Eddzone forums instead. ---
Please take a look and get a peek at Duck You Sucker Productions new show The Haunted Hooligans which is in the running for Animation Magazine's Pitch Party 2003. If the show gets enough votes it could lead to it being picked up and going into full production so please show your support for Mike who so often gives up his free time to come and talk to us Eds fans on the E2E message board. You have until 14 July to vote so get everyone you know in on the act too be they your mom, your best friend, your teacher or your dog - vote, vote, vote guys! As you may have noticed recently I've not been able to update the site. This was due to the fact that my old computer went belly up on 22nd June *sniff* I have now got a new machine but am currently unable to update the site because all my FTP stuff is on the old machine and I've not got the two networked yet. This is probably going to take a couple of weeks so we're looking towards the middle or tail end of July at the earliest. In the meantime I have to ask you NOT to mail me stuff for the site because - you've guessed it - my email proggy is needing a revamp too and currently anything sent to me gets chewed up and is never seen again - with this in mind its worth noting that all of the mail sent after 22nd June has gone AWOL so please resend it once I give the go ahead but please NOT YET. Once the mail's all square again I will give you the greenlight to send your submissions in. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but to be honest there's not a whole lot I can do apart from ask you to be patient, computer's aren't so clever after all huh? ---
The same queries keep popping up in my mailbox- namely people telling me they have joined Ezboard but still can't post at the Eddzone forums. Now the reason for this is that the board is set to 'membership by application only' so what you need to do is first get yourself a free Global Ezboard account and then apply to join the board. To do this hit 'reply' in any of the forum threads and you will be taken to a page telling you what to do. Once you've applied Ezboard sends me a memo and providing you're on the level then I authorise your membership. I do realise this seems long-winded but its also a good way to keep out undesirable elements, known flamers and so on and makes for a more peaceful, friendlier and community-orientated board.You need to be 13 to be an Ezboard member although it is permissible if you are younger and get a responsible adult to apply for you. To date our youngest member is 11 and myself, the moderators and indeed all members are very aware of younger members of the community and do all we can to keep the place as 'family friendly' as we can & behave responsibly. If anyone has any queries on membership just drop me a line. ---
