Things appear to be progressing well for the eagerly-anticipated video game 'Ed, Edd n Eddy the Mis-Edventures' currently in production from Midway games. According to Midway's site the game has a release date of Nov 2005 although as yet no further specific date details are available.

The game summary is as follows ' Ed n Ed, Edd n Eddy: The Mis-Edventures , play as all three Eds in this tag team adventure game and swap the lead character on the fly to take advantage of each of the their wacky abilities. You'll encounter all of your favorite characters from the show as you make your way through the cul-de-sac, collecting jawbreakers and scamming the neighborhood kids! Execute special all-Ed formations like the Trampol-Edd, Tower-of-Eddy and Batter-Ed. Experience the slapstick humor, frantic pace, crazy art direction and outrageous fun of the show. From selling snow cones to collecting jawbreakers, players must complete wacky scam objectives to explore and unlock new areas of the game. '

So, did you see them? Apparently many Eds fans who were watching the latest episode of Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends got a bit of a surprise to see 3 rather familiar faces appearing there!

As many Eds fans will know, the famous gaming expo 'E3' was held back in May this year and there, Midway unveiled a taste of their eagerly anticipated, up-n-coming 'Mis-Edventures' game which of course stars Danny's Boys.

So with this in mind, Zeph & I are very grateful to Mike for generously sending us in some of the photographs he took at E3 for use on Edtropolis. Taking that gigantic wall banner into account for starters it would seem that the Eds had a pretty big presence there! Huge thanks again to you Mike.

'Ed, Edd n Eddy - the Mis-Edventures' is tentatively set for a Winter release.

As mentioned further down the page, Zeph & I were lucky enough to take a trip to Vancouver back in June where we were made very welcome at AKA's studios. It was great to see many old familiar faces and meet some news ones and we even managed to lure Danny away from his desk for a couple of hours to have a few beers and good old chin-wag.

For those of you anxiously waiting for news of season 5 air dates all we can say is that AKA are working flat out with many episodes currently in the various stages of production and others still very much at the sounding-board stage. So far as 'when exactly?' goes, well that's still very much a 'when they're ready' matter for the next new episode to air will of course be the third & last of the 3 special episodes, the Halloween-themed 'Boo Haw-Haw' but it is hoped that the new Season 5 shows will be ready to roll out soon after that.

We'll try to get a full account of our trip to the studios on the site asap (and we'll finally update the aka site itself too!)

As most of its fans know, the popular EEE site Dorkfest has been offline for some time, this weekend however, Axey, the site's creator / webmistress got in touch to clarify the situation.

The bottom line is that sadly, Dorkfest will not be re-opening again although Axey of course remains a stalwart fan of AKA's animation and the Eds.

Our very best wishes to Axey for wherever the future takes her as well as thanks for all the fun that was Dorkfest.

As we recently found out on a whirlwind trip to Vancouver in June, long-serving EEE episode writer Jono Howard is leaving his job at AKA Cartoon for pastures new, working on his own material. However, due to the show's lengthy production time Jono's influence will happily still be felt both in the up-n-coming Boo Haw-Haw Halloween special in addition to well into the Eds fifth season.

We're sure that Eds fans everywhere will join us in wishing Jono the very best in all his future endeavours and of course in congratulating long-term Eddzone/Edtropolis contributor now turned AKA Cartoon writer Rachel Connor who will be taking his place. Good luck and a giant rosy-coloured Jawbreaker of the future to the both of you!

We have to say the Eds look a little kooky to us from these screenshots but of course the game is still in development and may well be subject to alterations and tweaking. Whatever the case though its great to have more merchandise to look forward too!

As every games nut knows, now is the time for E3 that exciting event where the big games companies show off their latest wares and give us a glimpse of what's in store in the months to come.

'Ed, Edd n Eddy - the Mis-Edventures' is tentatively set for a Winter 2005 release on PS2, GC, GBA & PC and will form one of Midway's new 'family-friendly' titles. Information on gameplay is still sketchy but apparently involves players controlling their favourite characters in a 'Tag Team' style scenario. The game runs from a third person perspective and players control all 3 Eds at once using each character's unique abilities in order to complete the various scam objectives. Cool!

Please remember to keep in mind the fact that that the game's working title, contents & subject matter may still be liable to change and that an actual release date is yet to be confirmed.

Well nuts on a nut loaf, the Eds didn't win the at the Kids Choice Awards, losing out to the ubiquituous Spongebob, but we're trying to put a brave face on it, after all it was great the show was one of the four main finalists! Thanks to everyone who voted for the boys, here's hoping we'll go get 'em next time around!

Yes it's that time of year again, time we raised our glasses of En-O-Gee drink and said a toast to Danny Antonucci and his Vancouver-based animation studio AKA CARTOON as they celebrate their eleventh year in the business on April Fools Day 2005. Let's all join together in wishing Danny & Co every continuing success in years to come, nobody does it better! Our aka Cartoon website Animation by Mistake will be getting an overhaul to bring it in line with Edtropolis' update asap.

Would you believe it? We've finally managed to get the remainder of our stuff moved over to the Edtropolis url at last, so as of now 'edtropolis.com' is our new home address. As you may see some things haven't changed while others look a tad different (like the site navigation) and some may even have disappeared altogether, but rest assured that we're not done yet and will have some brand spanking new pages in the works and online as soon as possible

Thanks to everyone who mailed in to say that the popular fansite 'Dorkfest.org' seems to have gone belly up. Arriving at the site URL you are greeted by that bane of the internet, the error 404 page. Hopefully this is just a temporary glitch in the system for although the site had not been updated for some time it stood as a wonderful tribute to EEnE. In the meantime, we will continue to hold the URL in our links page until the matter seems resolved one way or the other.

If when you try to log on all you see is a message to the effect that there is a 'problem' with the forum's database and that an email has been dispatched to the technical department please don't take it personally because we're seeing that same message too. These 'blackouts' occur when the MySQL database is being worked on by admin at our hosting site. Unfortunately, we don't get a 'heads up' to let us know when the MySQL database will be offline & although our hosting site's technicians always tell us the site will be back up again in a 'few' hours, inevitably it's always longer than this. Will it happen again? inevitably yes, it's bound to. Work on the MySQL / SQL databases seems to go in fits and starts often with long periods of 'perfect running' followed by spats of 'blackouts' spread over a few days. It's a nuisance to be sure but we're all getting the same blank screen so please don't take it personally.

As the premiere of the second of the three special 30 minute shows becomes history, leaving only the Halloween special left to air it's time to start wondering on what future episodes of Seasons 5 & 6 may hold for the boys from Peach Creek.

Ed, Edd n Eddy's second games outing has been set a tentative release date for Autumn 2005 although at this stage it must also be noted that the game's eventual title and indeed contents & subject matter are all part of a 'forward looking' statement from Midway, meaning that subject, title and content may be subject to change before release date.

While the Christmas special 'Jingle Jingle Jangle' focused on Eddy, this time around it's Double D's love-life in the 'Hanky Panky' spotlight for the plot of course, as the title suggests, revolves around that most romantic day of the year St Valentines.

Naturally for the Eds, the course of true love never stands a chance of running smoothly.

It's a school day for starters and as if that wasn't enough to be going on with, as big Ed prepares himself for the inevitable kissing spree courtesy of May Kanker, out-to-make-a-mint Eddy's inventive mind is striving to convert soft 'n squishy romance into cold hard cash. Romantic Double D meanwhile, is the only one of the trio who really sees the day for what it's all about, that precious chance to let someone special really know you care about them.

Unfortunately Edd's romantic hearts n flowers notions are just too juicy a target for a couple of meddling imps like Sarah and Jimmy who are out to rock Cupid's love boat by bringing together the unlikely pairing not of Ed and May but May and Double D.

Once Edd and May have been bitten by the lovebug it seems that nothing on earth can pull them apart. It's just not natural and it looks as though it's up to Eddy and Ed to take drastic measures and throw a couple of thorns in the path of their blossoming love.

Again, apologies for the tardy behaviour here, Edd has already given us a good ticking off ... anyway, the long-awaited Eds DVD that first set mouths watering back in summer is at last getting into the final production stages.

The DVD is not, however, the entire first season boxset that many had anticipated but instead a collection of six episodes all from season 1 together with a couple of 'extras', namely the 'My Best Friend Plank' mini-movie, Plank's Perspective & the Rules & Regulations of Club-Ed!

With a running time of 84 minutes, the DVD which features some nice cover-art of the Eds reflected in a yummy-looking Jawbreaker, is set to hit stores on 10 May. 'Edifying Edventures' (Season 1 Volume 1) will hopefully generate enough interest from fans to warrant the release of further Eds DVDs / box-sets.

Sorry for the delay in catching up here, news has it that the eagerly anticipated EEnE Valentine special will hit the airwaves Stateside on Friday February 11th at 7.30pm (ET/PT). The 30 minute 'Hanky Panky Hullabaloo' is the second in a trio of half-hour Eds specials and this time around the focus is on love!

Here's hoping Wednesday night was a blast over in Vancouver as WAI Canada presented the exclusive Canadian preview of 'Ed, Edd n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle.' The event, which took place at the VFS Web cafe in Hastings Street was sponsored by aka Cartoon, Cartoon Network, The Metropolitan Hotel, VFS & Animation magazine and saw Eds creator Danny Antonucci as guest speaker!

Many people who have seen the Eds Christmas Special 'Ed, Edd n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle' have noticed that the show appears slightly different from its previous & familiar format. This has raised all sorts of questions, discussions, panicky e-mails and general doubt amongst fans concerning the show and whether its gone - or is going - CGI.

To that effect we felt that it was very important to set the record straight once and for all, and who better to do that for us than Ed, Edd n Eddy's creator himself Danny Antonucci.

A very big thank you goes from me to my co-admin on E2E's, Zeph who has been helping me out behind the scenes and on the forum front line for some time now. In addition to her work on the new forums and helping me with the reconstruction of many of the Eddzone's older sections, Zeph will also be involved in the brand new sections on Edtropolis which will start to appear in 2005. Also, with my changing jobs in real life I've had less time to work on the site and without Zeph's assistance would already have had real trouble struggling to keep the place up to date.

So thanks again Z, you've come to the rescue of my computer-illiterate ignorance far many more times than is healthy and never once lost your temper at my ineptitude. I couldn't have done all this without you, so here's this one's for you, enjoy ^_^

Also older 'regulars' may notice that we have streamlined the boards and are operating them under a newer - and in some cases stricter - set of rules. As you may have noticed, some sections of the Eddzone now have a url of 'edtropolis.com.' Just to clarify for anyone who may be confused by this we can now confirm that the new name of the site will be 'Edtropolis - Home of the Ed, Edd n Eddy Zone (and yes that was the name of the Eds cardboard city in season 2's 'Urban Ed'!)

Due to my being up to my eyebrows in real life work and the pre-Christmas run-up the whole site is not yet 'live' but over the next weeks & months you'll no doubt notice various sections of the Eddzone changing address and some brand new ones appearing over at Edtropolis. Any sections that have to be moved prior to being updated will also be dealt with & jazzed up as soon as i get a little breathing space.
